Is SimpliLaw or SimpliLaw's bar prep materials associated with the Law Society of Ontario?

While our materials are designed to help candidates prepare for the Ontario solicitor bar exam, SimpliLaw is an independent organization and is not affiliated in any form with the Law Society of Ontario. Our study aids are created to supplement your exam preparation, and we strive to provide high-quality content that aligns with the required knowledge and competencies tested on the bar exam.

How much does your bar prep materials cost?

We offer three tiered packages of our materials to fit students' needs: 1) The Kickstarter, 2) The Power-Up, and 3) The Full Arsenal. We also offer a la carte options that further serve students' needs and to support their success. Please refer to our Pricing page for details.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards as our primary payment method. However, if you prefer to use e-transfer, feel free to reach out to us directly.

Do you offer payment installments?

Yes, you can spread the cost of your purchase over 4 installments payments using Klarna or AfterPay. To take advantage of this option, simply choose Klarna or Afterpay as your payment method during checkout.

Do you offer refunds (digital learning materials)?

Due to the digital nature of the learning materials, we do not offer refunds on purchases. However, we want you to be completely satisfied with your experience, so if you encounter any issues or concerns, please reach out to us.

What is your refund policy for the printed bar exam charts?

We generally don't offer refunds on printed charts, but if you encounter issues like damage or printing errors, please contact us within 3 days of delivery. We'll evaluate the situation and provide a solution, which may include a replacement or refund. Our goal is your satisfaction and the quality of our study materials.

What is the refund policy for the SimpliBarExam Coaching Program?

Let's keep this simple and fair. If after attending the full first training day you don't feel you're getting value, let us know that same day and we'll refund 50% of the full cost of the program that you paid. The partial refund helps cover the cost of the charts, materials already provided, etc. Please note that the partial refund is only available to candidates who paid the full cost of the program at the time of registration.

What if I need to re-write the solicitor bar exam?

As we're committed to your success, we'll happily renew your digital access to the plan or the a la carte option you purchased for no additional charge. If you purchased our bar exam charts via a tiered plan or a la carte, we will happily re-ship a new copy to you. We only ask that you cover the printing and shipping fees.

Are there any discounts available?

Occasionally, we offer discounts on our bar prep products. The best way to stay informed about our latest deals is to subscribe to our website, as we announce discounts to our subscribers.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my tier package?

You can upgrade your tier plan at any time to access additional resources and features. However, downgrading is not currently an option.

Are there any additional fees or taxes?

The only additional charge you'll encounter is HST, which will be calculated at checkout. Shipping costs for the bar exam charts are included in the price, so you won't need to worry about shipping fees. However, shipping outside of Ontario may incur additional charges. Please get in touch with us first if wanting delivery outside of Ontario.

How do I access the bar prep materials?

To access the materials, simply click the "Get Access Now" button on the Pricing page. You'll be directed to the secure Thinkific platform for payment and to set up your personal account. Once completed, you'll receive instant access to your personalized bar prep experience!

How long can I access the bar prep materials?

Your access to our bar prep materials will expire either 90 days after your purchase or the day after the solicitor exam, depending on which occurs earlier.

Can I extend my access to the bar prep materials?

Extensions to the access period are generally not granted (please note that a renewal, however, will be granted where a student is rewriting the bar exam). But, if you experience extenuating circumstances that impact your ability to study within the given timeframe, please reach out to us to discuss your situation.

Can I use the Bar Prep Hub for the Barrister exam?

Currently, our content focuses on competences tested on the Solicitor bar exam. However, we are actively working on expanding our platform to include comprehensive resources for the Barrister exam as well. Stay tuned for updates!

How often is the SimpliLaw content updated?

Currently, our summaries are only available in digital format for online reading.
